UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2022
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 22nd Sep 2022
I reviewed these notes at the end of September 2022. There's no doubt that they have changed their attitude here this century and are trying to attract visiting boats - they could probably do with a dredge to widen the access times. Trouble is you only have half the ebb to get here from Ilfracombe or loose half the flood if going back up to the Bristol Channel.
UPDATE SUMMER 2021
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 20th Sep 2021
I reviewed these notes in September 2021. The good news is that the lock gate damage has been repaired and Bude is back in operation. We have added a link from the Cornish harbours website.
New website
Written by channelman | 11th Apr 2021
Bude is now managed by Cornwall Council Harbours Board. The website is www.cornwallharbours.co.uk

The sea lock is under repair following storm damage. Work has required replacement of pintles on the outer gates. It is hoped the lock will be operational by July 2021.
UPDATE SPRING 2018

Little has changed here, they still require 48 hours notice of an intention to come here and you should not attempt an approach through the surf.

Update Spring 2016
Written by dononshytalk | 18th Apr 2016
These notes were reviewed by Don in April 2016. The only change has been to the overnight price. The mobile phone number in the notes has been checked and works but there is no landline.
