I reviewed these notes in early September 2022. There is no longer any local chandlery here. It's still a lovely spot
UPDATE SUMMER 2021
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 3rd Aug 2021
I reviewed these notes in August 2021. It is still a very cheap place to clew up when cruising North or around to Milford going South. I visited several times when transiting to and from Ilfracombe and the Clyde. Facilities have improved over the years.

I visited Fishguard May 2017 and was invited to raft on a fishing boat in 3m on the wall N of the ferry terminal.
Update Spring 2016

These notes were reviewed by Don in April 2016. Very little has changed here except that they have shore power and water at the pierhead and the price has gone up since we last wrote.

The notes for this harbour were updated by Don T on the 21st February 2103. A few additions have been made in the notes as I have stopped here three times on passage and would do so again.

17/8 – Fishguard – Fishguard is a large open harbour with no marina but plenty of mooring buoys, it can be particularly exposed but even in calm condition’s staying the night on a buoy can be bouncy due to the ferry that comes in and out. I would also say it’s wise to get a buoy furthest away from the ferry terminal as possible as it can be very noisy throughout the night.
